Business Beat: Bad Mouth Bikes takes home 3 national awards
Bad Mouth Bikes took to the world stage and came home with three awards at the Orange County Choppers Invitational Only Bike Show in Florida presented by former American Chopper Star and Founder of OCC, Paul Teutul, Sr. this weekend.
A Harley-Davidson Firefighter Edition tribute to a fallen brother won two of the three awards. A labor of love, everything from the lay frame to the directionals has been customized. A work of art, just the floorboards alone took 40 hours to fabricate. Paul Tuetul, Sr. selected it as his favorite in the Bagger Division and so did the attendees. Bad Mouth Bikes was presented with the Paul Sr. Choice Award and a First Place People’s Choice Award in a ceremony on Saturday amongst the best builders in the United States.
When asked for comment about the multiple wins the Fire Bike received, Owner of BMB, Shawn Dow had this to say, “Our shop was so proud to be able to build an 100th Anniversary Firefighter Special Edition for the family of a fallen brother. I never expected to be receiving awards from a 40-year veteran of motorcycle building like Paul Sr. I watched American Chopper on Discovery and now to be recognized by Paul is truly an honor. We are fortunate to have such a talented team here at Bad Mouth Bikes and this is only the beginning.”
The third award BMB brought home was a 1st Place People’s Choice for its 1991 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200. Placed in the Ratrods & Craziness Division, the Laconia-themed bike also won the 100th Anniversary Laconia Biker Build Off in 2023.
Bad Mouth Bikes is Located at 2329 Post Road, Warwick, RI. Owner Shawn Dow has over 20 years of knowledge and professional experience building and repairing motorcycles and founded BMB in Warwick, RI four years ago. Specializing in custom builds, BMB also assists the New England motorcycle community with maintenance and repairs, tunes, consignment, sourcing parts, and more.
