A Talk with Author Maggie Jackson
Award-winning journalist and author Maggie Jackson’s new book Uncertain explores why we should seek uncertainty in an age of flux and reveals this essential mindset’s unique role in fostering curiosity, adaptability, and resilience.
In this interactive evening, pioneering author Maggie Jackson draws on her acclaimed new book Uncertain to explore why we should seek not-knowing in an age of flux and angst. She will be in conversation with renowned local artist Sarah Jane Lapp.
In an age of tumult, quick answers and neat bullet points seem the ticket to success. We fear not-knowing and equate being unsure with weakness. But an urgent rethink is due: the uncertainty that we shun turns out to be the mindset most needed in an era of flux and angst.
In this interactive evening, pioneering author Maggie Jackson draws on her acclaimed new book Uncertain: The Wisdom and Wonder of Being Unsure to reveal the secrets to flourishing in uncertain times. Rather than miring us in inertia, the uncertainty mindset is a key to creativity, resilience, adaptability, and curiosity. If you want to ace a speech, be inventive, gain mental strength, or be a better parent, this talk is for you. Maggie will be in conversation with renowned local artist Sarah Jane Lapp.
