Rhode Island Weather for May 28, 2026
Rhode Island turns cooler and more unsettled on Thursday after the warmer stretch, with more clouds around and showers developing later in the day.
Morning: Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy and comfortable, with temperatures starting near 60°F and rising through the 60s.
Afternoon: Not as warm, with highs around 72–74°F inland and cooler along the coast; skies stay variable, and scattered showers become possible during the afternoon.
Evening: Cooler and mostly cloudy, with any lingering showers tapering and temperatures falling through the 60s toward the low 50s overnight.
Overall, it is still a usable spring day, but the added clouds, cooler feel, and afternoon shower risk bring the grade down.
It’s a B- day!
