Munroe Dairy Donates Portion of Ice Cream Sales in April to Joe Andruzzi Foundation
The Sacred Cow Scoop Shop Kicked Off Fundraising Effort on April 1
Munroe Dairy, Rhode Island’s trusted purveyor of farm-fresh goodness since 1881, announced a new fundraising effort to support the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. For the month of April 10% of all ice cream scoop and cone sales at the Sacred Cow Scoop Shop & Market at 187 North Brow Street in East Providence will be donated to the New England nonprofit organization as part of the recent statewide 401Gives campaign.
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership,” said Kayla Viveiros, CEO, Munroe Dairy. “The Joe Andruzzi Foundation does incredible work for local cancer patients and their families, and we are honored to have the opportunity to rally our customers to support their mission.”

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is a New-England based nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to cancer patients and their families. Since 2008, JAF has granted over $13.7 million to more than 50,000 cancer patients and family members across New England to help ease the pressure of household expenses, food, transportation, and extraordinary needs, while undergoing treatment. In 2025 alone, JAF distributed more than $1.2 million in direct assistance to help more than 5,600 patients and family members throughout New England.
“We are grateful to the folks at Munroe Dairy for this delicious fundraising opportunity,” added Jen Andruzzi, President and CEO, Joe Andruzzi Foundation. “Last year, we provided support to more than 1,500 patients in New England, including 127 in Rhode Island, and every donation helps us reach even more families in need.”
401Gives was a 36-hour online fundraising marathon, powered by the Alliance for Nonprofit Impact and the United Way of Rhode Island, that was created to support local nonprofit organizations across the state of Rhode Island. In 2025, 401Gives made Rhode Island history by raising over $4.9 million for 644 local nonprofits from over 19,000 donors.

About The Joe Andruzzi Foundation:
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile, for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most. Founded in 2008 by former New England Patriots three-time Super Bowl Champion offensive guard Joe Andruzzi and his wife Jen, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation grew out of Joe’s own successful battle with cancer. In 2007, Joe’s football career abruptly ended when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Burkitt’s lymphoma. Disease-free less than a year later, Joe and Jen chose to dedicate their lives towards solving the financial distress a cancer diagnosis can cause in the lives of patients and families.
