Rhode Island Weather for January 27, 2026
Morning:
The day begins very cold, with temperatures in the low near teens. Skies are mostly cloudy, and any leftover moisture from earlier snow is frozen, creating icy patches on untreated roads and sidewalks.
Afternoon:
Conditions remain cold and mostly cloudy, with temperatures climbing only into the upper teens to low 20s. Little to no melting occurs, and the cold continues to dominate despite daylight.
Evening:
The evening stays cold and quiet, with temperatures falling back into the low to mid-teens. Skies remain mostly cloudy, and refreezing is widespread where any daytime softening occurred.
Overall Letter Grade: C-
No active snow, but persistent cold, icy surfaces, and limited improvement all day keep this from being a good winter day. It’s manageable, but uncomfortable and slow going.
