Planet Fitness Donates Equipment to First Responders at Johnston Fire & Providence Police

PLANET FITNESS NORTH PROVIDENCE DONATES EQUIPMENT TO JOHNSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT & PROVIDENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT

Planet Fitness is donating commercial-grade fitness equipment from its North Providence club to support the health and wellness of local first responders at the Johnston Fire Department and the Providence Police Department.

All of the firefighters are Johnston, RI residents, except for Evan Cooke, who is from Pawtucket.

The equipment was picked up from the North Providence Planet Fitness location and was delivered to the Johnston Fire Station at 1520 Atwood Ave in Johnston.

The Johnston Fire Department received approximately 19 pieces of fitness equipment, including: 

• 1 Treadmill

• 1 Upright Bike

• 1 Recumbent Bike

• 1 Elliptical

• 1 Rower

• 1 Recumbent Stepper

• 1 Upper Body Ergometer

• 1 Leg Press

• 1 Leg Extension

• 1 Seated Leg Curl

• 1 Lat Pulldown

• 1 Overhead Shoulder Press

• 1 Hip Abductor/Adductor

• 1 Ab Coaster

• 5 Exercise Steps

The Providence Police Department will receive approximately four pieces of fitness equipment, including:

• 1 Rower

• 2 Treadmills

• 1 Back extension
