RHODE ISLAND NATIVE GRAMMY NOMINATED JEFFREY OSBORNE ANNOUNCES ANNUAL CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

The 2025 edition of the Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament tees off for the 13th time on Monday, September 15 and Tuesday, September 16 at the Quidnessett Country Club, 950 N Quidnessett Road in North Kingstown. The annual event features both a 9 and 18-hole golf tournaments.

Rhode Island native Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and philanthropist Jeffrey Osborne announced the details of the 2025 edition of the Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic (JOCC). The tournament will benefit organizations serving Rhode Island’s underserved youth and families.

The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic brings together notable celebrities from the world of sports, music and entertainment such as Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Motown Recording artist Smokey Robinson and actor Chris Tucker ( Rush Hour) for a memorable two days of 9 hole golf, a red carpet reception and a closing awards gala.

Proceeds from the Celebrity Classic will allow the Jeffrey Osborne Foundation to distribute funds for music and arts education, food insecurity programs and scholarships to benefit Rhode Island’s underserved youth and families.

“Giving back to the Rhode Island community is at the heart of our mission,” said Jeffrey Osborne. “It is truly an honor to support these incredible organizations that work tirelessly to uplift and empower our youth and families. The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Classic would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, celebrity guests, and every single person who contributes to making a difference.” says Osborne.

The $50,000 raised at last year’s tournament was personally distributed by Osborne during the recording artist’s visit to Rhode Island this past summer.

Beneficiaries of the 2024 Golf Tournament included

• Boys & Girls Club of Providence

• Music School of the Rhode Island Philharmonic

• The Amos House

• The Met School

• Button Hole

During his visit this past summer, Osborne also served as a torchbearer during a special 4th of July Waterfire and performed with the Christian McBride Big Band at the Newport Jazz Festival held in August.
