Gimme’ Shelter: Nonni waiting at the RISPCA – Cheryl Tudino

Do you believe in aging like a fine wine? Well… Nonni sure does! She may be 10 years young, but this sweat pea is better than any aged wine! Even though she had a very rough life and has been at the RISPCA for several years, she has made lemonade out of lemons.

If you are looking for a sweet wise soul to join you on your everyday adventures, you have found your girl. Nonni is an older gal, but you would never know by meeting her. She is still full of zoomies, jumps, and plenty of spirit. As a treat loving friend, she picks up new tricks super quickly and is ready to learn more! In fact, she has been known to teach herself tricks, such as opening doors! I do not think we have found a puzzle this smart cookie cannot crack!

Nonni is one pup that is super close to every team member’s hearts. Nonni is such a cutie pie, and her face says it all, wait until you see her cute little right lip droop. She does have some overly sensitive skin and allergies, so she is on daily medication to keep herself comfortable and healthy! Because of this, a medical consult with our medical director is included in her adoption.

Her new parent will also get Handsome Dan Rescue Take My Lead Post-Adoption Training to help Nonni adjust to living outside the shelter. Nonni would love nothing more than to spend the rest of her golden years in her forever home, snuggling and getting belly rubs, and maybe a chance to sleep in a bed with her human.

She would do best in a home as an only pet, she believes she deserves all the attention right now, and she is right! A house with no small children, teens are ideal.
