CRAVING PEACE
I recently read a story about how this generation feels so “overwhelmed” by everything and is now seeking a more “peaceful, simpler life” rather than the fast paced craziness of this world. (My first thought was… well, no “$hi#. A peaceful life is good). How are they doing this btw? By “cooking simpler things”… Huh? Also, evidently, ALOT of GEN Z WOMEN I read are “joining convents” and still others are “journaling” and “meditating” on their road to wellville. (I wonder if that’s before or after they go to a FAKE PROTEST and get angry somewhere ABOUT SOMETHING they haven’t researched…).
In any event, here’s a tip if you’re REALLY LOOKING FOR PEACE… put down your phone, get off the socials, and STOP IDOLOZING YOURSELF. It’s that simple. START THERE. I suppose you could say as I’ve aged I have very little use for drama, chaos, stupidity, inability to problem solve, and hysteria. All the things these young people today thrive on. Besides constantly TAKING SELFIES AND BEING THEIR OWN HERO in a fake documentary about themselves, the one thing that nauseates me about them is the inability to receive criticism and hear universal truths like normal humans. How can you have peace if you can’t see reality about anything? (EXAMPLE… there are ONLY TWO GENDERS… SCIENTIFIC FACT FRIENDS…it’s not hate).
Even 31 YEAR OLD Justin Bieber (whose life is a mess and whose new album is a duck and cover while he implodes on all levels) said on INSTAGRAM recently that someone was “mean” to him because he was called out for his erratic crazy narcissistic behavior. I mean, dude, grow up. You’re being all those things right now. It’s reality. My GOD. ANYHOW, I find these young people today so damn exhausting. If you disagree with them or they don’t get their way they need a safe space. If you point out where they might want to try to think differently on X,Y AND Z you’re being OPPRESSIVE and if they decide to NOT follow a law or rule or show respect for whatever in a particular situation, you’re being a racist colonial for suggesting they abide by a predetermined standard. OMG. Isn’t it mind blowing? So ya, I’m not surprised this group with zero social skills thinks the world is TOO HARD and out to get them as they whine about “needing PEACE”. Victimhood is the EASIEST place to go if your lazy, undisciplined and have zero real life goals.
In the meantime , as you search for that peace outside of the paper bag you crawled into like an ally cat… put the phone down. No one wants to see a selfie or video of you crawling out ragged with filthy blue hair sobbing about the inequities of daily living. Just seek therapy, keep off the socials and show up to work on time. Your life will Instantly be a lot more “PEACEFUL”. I promise.

CHIP AND JOANNA GAINES
Have you seen the latest hullabaloo involving Christians and the gay community? I saw this story a few days ago and shook my head. I’ve always said MANY MANY CHRISTIANS are the reason people hate this faith. So, the latest is this- CHIP AND JOANNA GAINES recently had a same sex couple and their child on their super popular show called “FIXER UPPER”. Chip and Joanna happen to be Christians and even if they have ideological differences on life they did the episode with respect and decency with this couple as they would anyone who appeared on their network.
Well, that’s causing outrage in some Christian circles and I think that’s really awful to say the least. You really can’t win in this situation. If you reject the gay community and pretend they don’t exist you live in hate filled love. If you extend kindness and decency to the gay community and “see them” in the world you’re “encouraging sinful behavior”. SMH.
Here’s the deal. JESUS sat with whores, drunks, murderers, thieves, adulterers, the poor, crippled… and social outcasts. He never tossed those aside as some Christians nowadays deem unfit or unworthy. He said love one another. As people. Now, that is not to say we have to love their actions, their choices or their lives. We can definitely have opinions about it and definitely strongly disagree, but our job is not to play God, but rather, to love one another. That’s the instruction.
Who is anyone to say that the experience with Chip and Joanna didn’t have a profound impact on the couple involved? How are you to know if a discussion ensued, or if a mustard seed grew during that time? God gives us all free will. That’s the beauty of faith. No one is forced to believe. We all have a choice. Maybe the same sex couple never heard anything much about a relationship with Christ or saw it with their own eyes until meeting Chip and Joanna. We just don’t know what God was up to. His ways are not our ways.
I think it’s really sad that so many people who have never met Christians before already have ideas about them being hate filled and intolerant. That’s not the way to grow a faith and it simply isn’t true. No one ever wants to talk about it and I don’t know why, but some of the hottest places/churches to be at and worship right now are filled with drama, infighting, jealousy, backstabbing, fake people and power wars. Believe it because churches are also businesses. Many Christians don’t act right. Not all, of course, but many.
In the end, I want to remind everyone who’s “offended” by the episode that no one will be able to see kindness and God’s light in you if you don’t extend a hand. Kindness and decency shouldn’t be contingent. If it was none of us would be saved. I’m not condoning anything or anyone’s lifestyle btw and if you want to hear my testimony and what my walk with Christ has taught me I’ll tell you – but I won’t reject people because they’re different and I certainly won’t hold decent people in contempt for being what Christ expects us to be.

I heard JUST TODAY that J&J had finally admitted that their COVID Vaccine didn’t work either, and that in fact it made some people sick. I was one of those who took the shot so that I could continue doing the Volunteer Work I was committed to.
Perhaps it was the reason I still have an annoying Bronchial cough, even though I have no identifiable Bronchial infection.
PS – Jack- Congratulations on your 90th today. I celebrated mine last month.

I am rapidly approaching 76 and my sister is rapidly approaching 80. Therefore we were raised and were kids in the 50’s and 60’s. AND whenever one of us hears a story about safe rooms and quiet time and spending time writing down our thoughts- one of us will say ‘can you hear Ma if we said we were upset by such and such or stated she didn’t seem to understand our point of view??? Then we laugh and can hear her saying ‘if I come over there I will give you something to be upset about and spend the next half hour just remembering and smiling! My mother was cool before anyone knew what that meant.
