Gimme’ Shelter: Brooke waits for YOU at the Providence Animal Control Center

Meet Brooke! The sweet little girl is another mixed breed dog that found herself left behind. We think she is a Whippet mix. She is a little spitfire and can run very fast! Her intense zoomies are hilarious to watch.

She loves to fetch and play with her toys but is always good about checking in and giving a few kisses to her favorite people. She is very well behaved and has a great automatic sit when the cookies come out. She’s patient and gentle and would be a great family dog.

Fill out an application and come take this little angel home today!

If you can see me, I am still available! We prefer everything regarding adoption be done via email, this way we can answer any time or day! We like to have an application submitted before scheduling a visit but it’s not required, an email conversation is great! If you don’t have access to email, no worries, please call 401 680 7591. We differ from other shelters by offering a one-on-one experience between you, our staff and the animal or animals you’ve chosen to become a new family member! Please email [email protected]

About the Providence Animal Control Division

The Providence Animal Control Division protects the health and safety of our residents and their pets with progressive leadership and education, and continues to engage the hearts and minds of the community to help all animals.

As of November 2015, the Animal Control Division has adopted a “low risk euthanasia†philosophy of healthy adoptable animals and will continue to improve the live release rate of shelter animals via adoptions, returning strays to their owners, transferring animals to rescues, TNR, programs/services and treating medical cases. We believe that with progressive programs, we can have a more humane City. Through our Gimme Shelter program, PAC is spaying and neutering owned and feral cats for Providence residents. To participate please send a message through our Facebook page at Providence Animal Care Center.
