Real Estate RI: Record-breaking sale in Cranston’s Edgewood neighborhood – Engel & Volkers
Engel & Völkers East Greenwich announced a record-breaking sale at 82 Marion Avenue S, Cranston, RI 02905, sold on June 3, 2024. Liana D’Amico, an advisor with The DiSpirito Team, successfully sold the property in just two days on the market, setting a new standard for per square foot pricing in the highly coveted Edgewood neighborhood.
The 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 1,092 sq ft ranch home sold for $515,000, equating to $471.61 per square foot. This shatters the previous highest per square foot record of $409.20 year to date. Notably, this is the highest-priced per square foot sale in the area, excluding two waterview properties sold in 2022.

That’s ridiculous.
You all sound SO excited about this. But it’s actually quite disheartening, and so very sad for anyone in RI not making $200,000+ a year. Here you have a very basic looking, smaller sized house, and now it’s completely unaffordable for the majority of people. I’m single person, and I make a decent salary, and I couldn’t afford half this price. But there are no homes for less than half this size available in RI. This is a very sad day for most of us here in this State who just want a decent roof over our heads.
