To Do in RI: 15 free attractions for Newport county and hospitality employees, June 8-10

Local Attractions Offer Free Admission for Newport County Residents & Hospitality Employees June 8-10

Newport County residents and employees of the hospitality industry from any location are invited to enjoy free admission or discounts at 15 participating attractions in Newport and Bristol Counties on June 8, 9 and 10.

The Preservation Society of Newport County is participating with free admission to The Breakers, Marble House, The Elms, Rosecliff and Green Animals Topiary Garden each day, and Chateau-sur-Mer and Kingscote on June 9 and 10. Visitors must show proof of residency or hospitality employment to receive free admission.

The offer excludes the limited, guide-led tours of Hunter House, Chepstow, Beneath The Breakers or The Elms Servant Life, all of which require a timed ticket.

“Several times each year, the Preservation Society invites local residents to be our guests at the mansions for free, and we are happy to extend the courtesy to people who work in the hospitality industry, which is so important to the local economy,” said Preservation Society CEO and Executive Director Trudy Coxe. “We hope they will take advantage of this opportunity.”

The six Newport Mansions listed above offer self-guided audio tours; visitors are encouraged to download the free Newport Mansions app to their mobile device and bring their earphones or earbuds.
