RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat/Sun, March 28/29, 2020

Saturday, 3/28/20

Low pressure developing over the midwest will threaten the western edges of New England later in the day with some rain developing before sunset, not that we’ll see said sunset given the dense overcast that will gradually blanket the region through the afternoon. Morning lows in the clearest portion of the day will dip into the chilly upper 30’s, and afternoon highs will achieve the mid 50’s.

Sunday 3/29/20

The mature low pressure system sets up shop directly overhead and makes itself at home for the duration, light to moderate rain lasting from morning until night. Easterly winds gusting into the 20’s drive the rain slightly sideways through the day, helping maintain the rawness of the wet conditions. A tight temperature range typical of these type of days, lows and highs both in the 40’s.
