ART! Maggie DeMarco’s magic wand spreads joy and serenity from Rhode Island to Florida
Maggie DeMarco has a diverse portfolio ranging from landscape, abstract, still life and reverse painting on glass. She studied for several years at the Rhode Island School of Design, with a certificate from the Decorative Arts Program, and studied with prestigious artists in the United States and Europe.
Maggie currently resides in Naples, Florida and Narragansett, where she spends close to half the year. A born and raised Rhode Islander, she maintains an active footprint for her art with a studio in Narragansett as well as in Naples. In addition she has a gallery in the Naples Art District at 5760 Shirley Street, and has her work in two Naples galleries and one in Sarasota.
Her goal is to bring the joy and serenity she achieves in her art to the viewer. DeMarco says, “I began painting landscape and still life then transitioned to abstract painting which allows me to express myself freely using sensual colors, unusual shapes and a variety of tools.”
DeMarco will have an opening at the Things I Like Gallery in Naples on May 14th from 4-8pm.
