RI Weekend Weather Wrap: Sat/Sun, 2/29 & 3/1, 2020
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A cool and blustery Leap Day for your weekend kickoff, upper 20’s for lows with a light breeze keeping wind chills down in the upper teens. We’ll warm to the upper 30’s with a brisk and gusty wind out of the northwest under patchy stratocumulus cloud cover, a sub-freezing feel through the afternoon. Sky clears late as dewpoints plummet heading into the overnight hours.
Sunday 3/1/20:

Clear, cold and dry for the back half of the weekend, still breezy as we head into March ‘20. Lows in the morning sink to around 20 with a light breeze dropping the chill temps to the low teens. We’ll warm to the dry mid 30’s under abundant sunshine that will cut through some of the deep chill.
