Columbus Day weekend festivities in Rhode Island
Autumnfest – Woonsocket
Autumnfest is a weekend festival held every year in Woonsocket, RI on Columbus Day weekend. Filled with music, crafts, food, amusement rides and a parade. Drawing in thousands of attendees each year, Autumnfest is the largest Fall Festival in Northern Rhode Island. As in past years, a Fireworks display will be launched on Sunday October 10th at 9:00 PM.

Columbus Day on the Hill
It’s the 30th annual! If you’ve been going for 30 years – or if this is your very first – you’ll want to stop by. From Friday through Monday, the 10th – enjoy over 2 dozen restaurants, a cooking stage, entertainment, and celebrate all things Italian – see and be seen – and we bet there will be a FEW politicians running for office in the crowd!

Scituate Arts Festival
On the Village Green – on both sides of Route 116 in the area surrounding the historic Scituate Congregational Church. There are many vendors outside our official grounds but, if you are looking for our juried fine art, craft and antiques show, food court and entertainment stage, find them on the Village Green. Check out RI Authors’ table and meet authors of some popular local books.

Misquamicut State Beach
First annual Atlantis RIsing International Sand Sculpture Competition will take place on October 7-10, 2022 (Columbus Day Weekend) at Misquamicut State Beach in Westerly. For four days the shores of Misquamicut Beach will be transformed into the mythical city of Atlantis. There will be artists from all over the world competing for a cash prize and you can see them at work carving sculptures out of sand and vote for your favorite. Food trucks, live music, special photo opps and activities for the kids will keep the whole family entertained.
