Walking Tour: African Americans on College Hill – with Ray Rickman
Join Ray Rickman on Saturday, October 1st at 9am for a guided tour of Providence’s oldest neighborhood and the African Americans who lived their varied lives there. Many left an indelible mark on not only the state, but the world, including opera diva Sissieretta Jones, landscape artist Edward M. Bannister, and Harlem Renaissance author, Randolph Fisher.
Tours will leave from the Stages of Freedom Museum at 10 Westminster Street in downtown Providence. The cost is $18 for adults, and $10 for children 12 and under.
