RI Weekend Weather Wrap – Sat & Sun – 2/1 & 2/2/20:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Saturday, 2/1/20:
We’ll get some early light rain out of this ‘so-called’ winter storm that will ease on down the road and be out over the open Atlantic by days’ end. Clouds will stick around in relatively moist air, low and mid-level stratus and stratocumulus thinning by afternoon with winds light out of the north. Wet morning low’s will be in the mid 30’s warming to the mid 40’s that we’ve gotten used to.
Sunday, 2/2/20:
Given the low level moist air that will still be in place through the night, mist and light fog is likely before sunrise and a little beyond, gradually eroding with daylight. Misty low’s in the mid 30’s warming to…you guessed it…the mid 40’s with a northwesterly breeze under a partly cloudy sky.
Happy Groundhog Day!
