Ron & Jen’s Great Escape, 5-11-2022 – Ron St. Pierre and Jen Brien
by Ron St. Pierre & Jen Brien, commentary
I’M DONE WITH THE WOKE CROWD
For a good 2 years I really tried to keep my mouth shut. When BLM was collecting money for future mansion purchases and lighting our country on fire, I kept my mouth shut. When I stopped seeing white couples in ANY ADVERTISING after George Floyd’s death I kept my mouth shut. When ALL white people were being demonized AND TOLD OVER AND OVER every single white person is secretly racist inside, I kept my mouth shut. When white people were told you’re the problem, this country is evil, and we need to tear down our monuments celebrating various people and events, I kept my mouth shut. When Jussie Smollett blamed TRUMP supporters for his sick twisted made up fantasy insanity, I kept my mouth shut. When Lia Thomas was stealing awards from female athletes, I kept my mouth shut.
Thing is – I’m done keeping my mouth shut. I admit, I lived in fear for having an opinion that wasn’t in lockstep with the madness of the left. It’s over. I’ve had it. I’d rather go down fighting then be shoved into the cesspool of extreme politics and over the top wacked out political ideologies. I’m an independent voter, my pocketbook is bleeding, I’m sick of being shamed, and as extreme as it sounds, I LOVE THIS NATION. IT’S THE BEST FRIGGIN’ COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Oh, but I don’t want to pay for your student loans. You took them out, pay your damn bills. I’M BACK. BRACE YOURSELVES…
STAY STRONG OUT THERE,
JEN

A MEMORABLE JOURNEY
My wife Patti and I just returned from a tour called AMERICA’S CANYON LANDS. We began in Scottsdale, Arizona and proceeded to Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon and finished up in Zion National Park. The sights were breathtaking to say the least. Cross one off the bucket list!
A special thanks to Jen for house sitting at Chez St. Pierre and giving Hazel all the lovin’ she needed.
Sadly, Lake Powell on the Utah-Arizona border has dropped below a critical threshold of 3,525 feet for the first time, shrinking the protective buffer of water the reservoir needs to produce hydroelectric power for millions of people in the West.
The reservoir is the second-largest in the U.S., and it’s a key piece of the Colorado River storage and supply system.
Nevada’s Lake Mead is experiencing a similar problem. Las Vegas is being flooded (punfully intended) with lore about mob crime after a second set of human remains emerged within a week from the depths of the drought stricken Colorado River. That reservoir is just a 30 minute drive from the Vegas Strip. One lawyer who represented past notorious mob figures said a lot of his former clients seemed interested in “climate control”… apparently mob speak for keeping the water level up and bodies down in their watery graves.

HEADSCRATCHER
A survey by digital payments company WORLDREMIT found that most Americans know what their mom’s favorite activities and likes are, but that one in six not only FORGOT Mother’s Day, but hasn’t given their mom a gift in over a year. One good note, 80% polled say they speak to their mom at least one a month. Come on people, if you’re lucky enough to still have your mom with you, ya’ gotta do better than that!
