Eight days of fashion…10th Rhode Island Fashion Week, live & virtual
Eight days of fashion? Yes, please! The 10th season of Rhode Island Fashion Week starts Sunday, March 27th. From cool clothing swaps to virtual panel discussions, virtual fashion presentations, in person runway shows and a designer marketplace, this event has become a flurry of one event after the other, looked forward to by thousands – and one of New England’s most anticipated fashion events. Three days are in-person, five are on line and in-person events usually include an online feature.
Day 1 – Rhode Island Fashion Week Clothing Swap
One fashionista’s trash is another fashionista’s treasure! The first day starts Season X with a Clothing Swap
Bring up to five gently used items (shoes, clothes, handbags) to swap for items you find from other participants. Not sure how to wear your new find? We will have a stylist on site to give you tips on how to style your new treasures!
What’s a Swap? A clothing swap is a type of swap-meet wherein participants exchange their valued but no longer used clothing for clothing they will use. Clothing swaps are considered not only a good way to refill one’s wardrobe, but also are considered an act of environmentalism. It is also used to get rid of and obtain specialist clothing.
Whatever is left over at the end of the event will be donated to our event partner -The Nest PVD.
