Today’s the deadline to apply for public Charter Schools

Today, Thursday, March 17th is the deadline to apply for your child to attend a public charter school in Rhode Island for the 2022-2023 school year.
What is a charter school?
Rhode Island charter schools provide innovative, high quality public school options for students and families. Charter schools are tuition-free public schools open to all students through a random lottery. We encourage families to explore our schools through EnrollRI.org.
How do families apply? Who is eligible?
Families can explore each charter school and apply using one common application on enrollri.org
All students in Rhode Island are welcome to attend a charter school. There are elementary schools, elementary and middle schools, middle schools, and high schools in communities across Rhode Island.
How are students selected to attend a charter school?
Students are selected to the schools in which they apply through a blind, random lottery.
