The howling winds ease as the vigorous cold front leaves New England behind and pillages the north Atlantic.

We’ll have lots of cloud cover overhead north of another low pressure system developing over the southeastern US and mid-Atlantic coast. This system should stay to our south and spare us any more damage. The airmass left behind remains warmer than normal, cloud cover helping to retain some of the leftover heat. Morning lows around freezing, warming to an afternoon high around 40. Light southeasterly breezes will prevail through the day, generally less than 10 mph.

No more tree damage.

And that’s a good thing.
