In the Arena – with Tom McCarthy, COVID Response Unit

Each week Joe Paolino, Jr. interviews people of interest on his program, “In The Arena”. The show airs at 7am on Sundays on ABC6.
This week his guest is Tom McCarthy, Executive Director of the RI Department of Health’s COVID Response Unit. We’ve seen him discussing logistics at the weekly press conferences. The show was taped before the weekend so some of the date references are to be kept in mind.
McCarthy and Paolino talk about the vaccines, readiness and hesitancy in Rhode Island and how well we are doing with vaccination rates in our state. They’ll talk about vaccinating young people (5-11), and what the system will be to do that statewide.
