Your RI Weather Today, Nov. 4, 2021 – John Donnelly
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Northern high pressure will lead to a suppression in afternoon high temps, looking only to reach 50 or so, give or take a degree. This will follow chilly morning lows in the mid 30’s. Winds will be light, thankfully, as we’re not quite ready for wind chills just yet. Some cloud cover will work into the south coast as a weak branch of low pressure sweeps east off of the mid Atlantic states. We are not expecting any rain with this feature.

John Donnelly was born in Hialeah, Florida and moved back to Rhode Island and settled in Johnston, where he grew up until graduating from Lyndon State College in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. As a child John always wanted to know how air moved, and he ran towards not away from thunder and lighting and various other ominous weather phenomena. He returned in 2001 to the old family neighborhood of Elmhurst where the Mccabe’s, Donnelly’s, Walker’s and Callan’s have been since after the Civil War. A meteorologist, John also is an avid golfer, runner, reader, hack guitarist, and walker. If you see a weatherman walking in a blue Jim Cantore weather jacket carrying an umbrella, look out!
