RI Weather Today, Monday 12/16/19:
By Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A lull in the action before the next system moves into the area.
A normal mid-December Monday on tap with normal temperatures ranging from a morning low in the mid 20’s to an afternoon high in the upper 30’s to around 40. Winds will thankfully be light out of the west, so no blood-curdling wind chills to absorb. Cloud cover will increase later in the day as warmer air rides over the weak frontal boundary in place, and low pressure develops over the mid-Atlantic that will give us something to deal with later in the night and for Tuesday.
