Your RI Weather Today, August 9, 2021 – Jack Donnelly
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Low pressure sits and spins to our southwest, dragging cool Atlantic low level moisture over southern New England, squeezing out some stray showers and drizzle mainly during the midday hours, but don’t really be shocked to see some drops here and there through the whole day. The clouds may even thin enough to allow us a glimpse of sun, but it’ll just be a tease.
Plan for a Monday with the case of the Mondays. A good day to have some dental fillings taken care of. Morning low in the upper 60’s followed by cooler than normal afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70’s with a light southeasterly breeze.
