Your RI Weather Today – June 29, 2021
by John Donnelly, meteorologist
Right in the meaty part of a classic heat wave, we’ll have morning lows in the mid 70’s and afternoon high temperatures in the mid 90’s across much of the area under a blazing sun and dew points in the 70’s, so not exactly pleasant. Seek shade. Some afternoon cumulus will develop and could build enough for a thunderstorm or two inland for some isolated relief, but it won’t be widespread, so don’t plan on it. Winds out of the southwest will move the air around a bit similar to yesterday.
