We got “Gronked”!
Of course we were all hoping for a return to the New England Patriots by Rob Gronkowski – but no – as 9am yesterday got closer we knew it was more like a big party he would announce – or maybe a new business venture with CBD. And, precisely at 9am, Gronkowski announced a big party at South Beach on February 1st.
Here’s his announcement – in true “Gronk-style” – complete with the good-boy and bad-boy dialogue. Play ball? P-a-r-t-y? We know what won out and we wish him a close-by moderating hand…because nothing bad should happen to the guy we’ve all come to like so much who makes us smile…but whose messaging these days leaves us hoping he will soon come into a more mature “football hero” persona.
We love to see him jumping into a rehearsed performance with the Laker girls at the Lakers halftime basketball game – we don’t love seeing him promoting over-drinking. Not to get biblical, but – “to whom much is given, much will be required” comes to mind. Rob is in a unique position to do much good with his notoriety, but he’s young and perhaps sowing some oats now, when he spent so much time practicing his sports skills before.
For all the details go to: www.gronkbeach.com – a limited number of pre-sale tickets go on sale Thursday, Nov. 21st. If you go, let us know, we’ll ask for a report.
