Your RI Weather Today – Thurs, Feb. 18, 2021
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
Coastal Winter storm moves through with light snow beginning late morning/midday hours and lasting into Friday. There is not a lot of upper level dynamic support for severe weather, so this won’t be a barn burner of a storm. Temperatures will be cold enough with drier conditions than previously forecast so snow we get should be on the fluffy side, 3-6 inches worth generally, higher in the RI snowbelt northwest of RI-102 and RI-116, a little lower by the coast by midnight. High around 30, low around 20 with a light northeasterly breeze.
