RI Weather Today – Sept. 23, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
What’s left of post-tropical hurricane Teddy continues to move out over the open Atlantic and takes it’s high cloud cover with it, and some of the wind as well, winds shifting from northeasterly to northwesterly and dropping a bit, gusts still in the 20-30 mph range. Afternoon highs a bit higher as well with more sun, generally in the mid 70’s from morning lows in the mid 50’s. The dry weather is nice, but the ground and everything that grows is ACHING for some rain, but none to be had until maybe later in the week.
