RI Weather Today – Sept. 17, 2020
by Jack Donnelly, meteorologist
A cold front well to our north will approach the area later in the evening with hopefully some overnight rainfall, but this could be wishful thinking. Meanwhile, the remnants of Tropical Storm Sally stretch out over the mid Atlantic states and lurch northeastward toward the southern New England coast. Mainly cloud cover for us from this situation. Still fairly dry in the low levels, so humidity stays down. Afternoon highs in the upper 70’s from morning lows around 60. Less gusty as well, just a light southwesterly breeze through the day.
