5 Restaurants & Falvey Insurance Remember First Responders
Frontline Foods RI, on behalf of World Central Kitchen, delivered over 360 meals to first responders, at 34 stations in Rhode Island. This effort was in observance of the 19th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which is now a federally recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance, 9/11 Day, founded by 9/11 families and others from the 9/11 community.
The meals were prepared by 5 local and independently owned restaurants:
Tomaselli’s
Belle’s Café
North
Matunuck Oyster Bar
Wickford on the Water
Volunteers delivered the meals from Falvey Insurance Group – the Group’s marketing department launched the RI chapter of Frontline Foods in May of this year. The cities supported in this effort are:
Providence
Cranston
Warwick
Newport
Middletown
Jamestown
Coventry
North Kingstown
South Kingstown
Kingston
Narragansett
Frontline Foods National is leading this initiative on behalf of World Central Kitchen, created by Chef José Andrés. Nationwide, 9/11 Day will deliver more than 30,000 meals from independently owned local restaurants to support first responders and frontline healthcare workers in more than 25 cities nationwide.
